It's been a great December. Cold but great. Talking about the weather, I wish we don't have to go through this dreaded monsoon period every time we hit December. The only people who are happy in December are doctors and pharmacies. Everyone seems to be getting sick these days. Wifey's down with the flu and fever. Her throat is coughing out like it's choking on fur balls. My running nose went into overdrive the past few days but it's clearing up after I coughed (pun intended) up 10 bucks to get a box of Clarinase from the pharmacist. And the cold weather seems to make everybody around miserable. No wonder people are booking tickets out of the region whenever December comes along. Maybe I shall do that next time the months comes.
We had our 15 minutes of fame when we were involved for an episode of Kpak Bing Bing, this new talkshow series being planned to be telecast on Suria channel next January. It's centers around a talkshow setting being hosted and produced by Najip Ali, who's joined by his cohorts, Suhaimi & Cik Sal. The show is being endorsed by MCYS and talks about marriage issues facing young Malay couples these days. We were being invited, being a young and new couple, to participate in the discussion on a certain topic which changes with every episode. Ours was "Intimacy & Sex". Big issue but we handled it quite well, frankly. We had the best of times on the set especially on the game segment. And I never had so much makeup on me before, not even on my wedding day! Ours is the 4th episode and will be telecast on Suria on the 29th of January. Not too sure of the time but will update once I get the latest information. Get your recorders ready! Here's some pictures of us on/off set and Nad&Andz who were with us but shooting a different episode

December has also been a month of revelations. We had business opportunities knocking and I have a great opportunity of seeing one of my dreams come to fruitation. The Secret definitely helps! I just picked up a copy of "The Measure Of A Man", an autobiography by celebrated actor, Sidney Poitier. It was highly recommended by Oprah Winfrey on her "Oprah Book's Club" and I promised myself that I'll read it one day. Probably I'll start on it on the trip up to Terengganu.. "Trying is failing with honour" is my new motto in life..
Heading up to Terengganu this weekend. Even though it's a short trip, I'm kinda looking forward to it since it's somewhere I haven't been before though the 10 hours bus ride is gonna be a killer. Need to load some movies up on my PSP then! And 2 months to our wedding anniversary!! Woot woot! Which island getaway shall we be at this time, hun???

Wow! I just realised how long I have not blogged in here. I always hit a patch of "not blogging for the longest time" without fail, every year ever since I started blogging. Maybe my flair for words have been zapped up or replaced by my flair for visuals instead. Having a day job as a graphic designer is great yet scary at the same time. Since I'm doing designs pretty much 24 hours of my life, I'm so afraid that I'll face a massive creative block. Hopefully not.. I'll don't know what to do with my life if I can never ever design again.
It's going to be an eventful month in the month of December. We brought the lil' boy, Dhia Asfa out last weekend, down to Vivocity 'cause I planned on getting him some toys. Instead of my original plans of getting him an electric drum set or a goalposts setup that comes with sound effects when you score, Wifey managed to "syko" me to get him educational toys instead. So we got him a box of alphabet cards, a puzzle with huge pieces so he can learn his shapes, a toy truck (which isn't educational but something the little boy picked by himself) and a bubbles blowing gun (which isn't educational either but looks fun!). After Toy's R Us, we brought him up to the top floor where the wading pool was so he can get his round of "chwiming". That's what he calls it even though it's just getting his feet wet in the pool. After getting himself and his Mama Ain wet, we changed him to a pair of fresh clothes and pulled out the bubble gun we bought. Initially I thought that, like other kids, he would prefer to chase the bubbles. Instead, he insisted on being the one that holds on the gun and releasing the bubbles instead. Hah! So I had to be the one that does the chasing! We went on our way to change his diapers and just when I suggested we get him a new pair of jeans/pants since he had outgrown the ones he had, the lil boy fell asleep in his pram. And as if right on cue, Daddy-in-law-dearest called Wifey and that he has a passenger in his cab who's heading to Vivo. Free cab ride! And right when we need it too! You can check out the day's pictures here. After this day, I am quite confident we are ready for kids of our own. *winks at Wifey*
We'll be in Mediacorp Studio next week to shoot an episode of Pak Bing Bing, a new upcoming show on Suria helmed by Najip Ali. We're gonna be on TV! Here's our 15 minutes of fame. I'm kinda excited yet terrified by the prospect. I hope I look good on camera.. Heh
Then it's off to Terengganu the week after that for the wedding of Wifey's cousin there. I've never been there before so it's quite an exciting trip for me. It's a quick getaway from Singapore, which I really need anyway. I think I'm gonna overdosed on Keropok Lekor there. I need to load up my PSP with movies in preparation for the 10 hours journey on the bus. Hope I can last.. Will update with pictures of course!
This year went by so fast. In 2 months time, we'll be 1. Wow! And that means another trip out of Singapore! Yeay!!
